About  CoachWorld
The mission of CoachWorld is to promote, guide & evolve the art & practice of coaching, worldwide.
Back in June of 2001, a certain financial planner named Thomas J. Leonard opened a site called Coachville.com. It was an online training site for life coaches, business coaches and other types of coaching. Its growth was phenomenal. As time went by Thomas stepped into the role of becoming the father of modern life coaching. You can read more about him here.

After great success with Coachville.com, he opened the School of Coaching, which seemed to be the next evolutionary step in his creation of an online coaching school. On February 11, 2003, Thomas suffered a heart attack and died. It was a great loss to the coaching industry because nearly all coaches looked up to Thomas as a guiding light and leader of our industry. I personally attended the memorial service held for him in Phoenix Arizona.

Thomas left Coachville.com to his right hand man, Dave Buck. Over the years Buck altered Coachville as he saw fit, which lead to changes many member coaches were not happy with. Thomas left clues to his success and his business plans for Coachville, if one could only dig deep enough to find them.

It is my vision to pick up where Thomas Leonard left off, to take his ideas that were on the backburner and flesh them out, to create a coaching organization that would make Thomas proud. No easy task since I personally am not the content creation monster that Thomas was. But, that's not to say that if enough coaches were gathered together, we as a whole could not produce similar content that Thomas did.

It is my wish and hope to make CoachWorld a place that would honor Thomas Leonard as well as serve the new coaches in our industry who never knew him. It will take all of us coaches as a collative to do this. One person by themselves can not replicate what the father of modern life coaching could do on his own. But there's a little bit of Thomas in every coach and when you bring everyone together, you have enough glimmers gathered to make up 1 Thomas Leonard.
